Colheita or ‘Harvest’, wines are from a single year, or harvest, bottled after spending at least five years in ageing in cask. These are effectively early bottled frasqueira or ‘vintage’ wines which share the individuality if not the concentration or the complexity of a wine aged for a minimum of twenty years (see below).
