  • About

Madeleine Angevine, early-ripening cross most common as a table grape but the parent of several wine grapes, including the confusingly named Madeleine × Angevine 7672, first sent to the UK from Alzey Research Institute in Germany in 1957. It makes some light, grapey wines in England and has been planted in sweden and denmark.
