Muscat Bailey A, a hybrid (Bailey x muscat of hamburg) grape that is becoming a major variety for wine in japan producing a broad range of wines from rosé to full-bodied reds. Takeda Winery in Yamagata Prefecture has the oldest wine-producing vines, planted in the 1940s.
