Nouvelle, vigorous, productive South African mid-20th-century cross of crouchen and trebbiano Toscano which became popular from the mid 1990s for its ability to add obvious methoxypyrazine aromas to Cape Sauvignon Blanc. A few hundred hectares had been planted by 2005.
