Prädikatswein officially excludes Kabinett wine in Austria but includes, in addition to the other Prädikats, Strohwein (or ‘straw wine’, see vin de paille) and ausbruch. As commonly used in Austria, Prädikatswein refers to overtly sweet wines of Auslese or higher must weight.
