  • About

San Benito, small california county inland from monterey county. The one exception to a prevailing mediocrity is a one-vineyard ava named Mount Harlan (see map under california) after the limestone-rich slopes on which Calera winery’s several celebrated blocks of Pinot Noir grow. The county has other AVAs (Cienega Valley, Lime Kiln Valley, Paicines) from which little is seen.
