  • About

California’s first wine grapes were planted in San Diego in 1769 by Franciscan missionaries. This modern california appellation within the south coast AVA includes the San Pasqual Valley and Ramona Valley AVAs. Orfila is a successful operation in San Pasqual Valley, specializing in Rhone-style wines, post-pierce’s disease. Fallbrook Winery makes a good Sauvignon Blanc.
