Secateurs

secateurs, hand-held scissors used for winter pruning of vines. Two-handled secateurs are used for cutting larger-diameter and older wood of the vine. Pruning can be faster, more effective, and less tiring with pneumatic or electric secateurs (see mechanical pruning).
