  • About

South Burnett, young, relatively hilly Australian wine region in south east Queensland. It has a subtropical climate, with summer rainfall a real problem; coupled with generally fertile red soils. Ripening tannins can be challenging, but in the right vintages there have been impressive results with Semillon, Chardonnay, Shiraz, and Cabernet Sauvignon. It is also a very pretty region, well worth the two and a half hours’ drive from Brisbane.
