  • About

state winemaking, though less common than it once was, has been important, not just in eastern Europe during the communist era when all activity took place under the auspices of the state, but also in turkey, Germany, where the state has owned a number of important vineyards and cellars, including kloster eberbach, and at certain points in their history in North African countries such as algeria, egypt, and morocco.
