Valdadige, or Etschtaler in German, basic appellation of the Adige (Etsch) Valley that, unusually, extends across three regions, though is used principally by producers in trentino and also by some in north-western veneto. Vineyards in alto adige theoretically qualify but the Alto Adige appellation is usually used instead.
