Vital, low-acid white grape grown in central Portugal, known as malvasia Corada in the Douro. Total Portuguese plantings of this vigorous productive vine were 1,251 ha/3,090 acres in 2012 and Casa Figueira has shown that the variety can make fine wine if planted in cool enough terrain.
