Coal Hook

This is a long metal pole with a hook on the end. It is used for moving the fire or embers around the oven once the heat has reached the correct temperature. It is also useful for pushing fresh logs on to the fire if you need to build up the heat again during cooking. Finally, once the fire has finished, you can use it for bringing the ashes toward the oven door so you can brush them out.
