The first time I saw a sloppy joe, I thought it was a quintessential American dish. But then I took a closer look, and something about the orange sauciness, the ground-up meat wrapped in bread, looked very appealing to me, almost familiar. In my kid brain, I associated it a bit with Mt. Qi pork, and decided to try it out. I was not let down.
