In many Chinese bakeries you’ll find links wrapped in a soft, buttery dough, and that was the only hot dog version I ever saw in China back then. In the States, though, we could only find plain hot dogs in the grocery store, so it ended up being a typical afternoon snack. I’d simply get home from school, pop one in a microwave, and cut it up.
