Finally, a spot opens up in the Golden Shopping Mall’s main food court. Stall number 36. My dad snags it and expands his menu. Word spreads fast; people start coming in from out of state to try our liang pi, a formerly elusive dish that few have been able to master. I return home on breaks and help cashier, watching the lines grow longer and longer.
