Oven Chart

The oven settings in the chart below have been used throughout the book. It must be noted however that the temperatures given are indications of oven heat conditions and, within limits, the cook can follow these safely; these limits however will vary from make to make and from one size of oven to another. Therefore the housewife must ascertain the individual variation of her oven, which, once found, can always be applied in future. For example, it may be found that a particular oven will need to be operated at a little higher or a little lower figure than that given in the recipe.
