This is a vegetable which resembles turnip in flavour, but is grown much more easily and should be eaten soon after it is taken from the ground, as its flavour is spoilt by storing.
It may be served in any way suitable for turnips, but as its characteristic flavour is in and near the skin, it should, where possible, be cooked in the skin.
