Nettles

Young nettles are very pleasant to eat, resembling spinach. The young tops should be gathered, washed and cooked like spinach, cooking them over a low heat at first until the water has run off the leaves and there is no fear that they will bum on the bottom of the pan.
Gloves must be worn when gathering and preparing the nettles.
