This book is lovingly dedicated to my beloved mother, Patricia Ramirez. She was the heart and soul of our family, a woman whose strength, love, and incredible spirit touched everyone who knew her. Her cooking was legendary—a blend of her Cajun and Filipino heritage, crafted with her own unique flair. It was truly the best, and anyone who had the privilege of tasting her food would agree.

My mother was a stay-at-home wife to my amazing father, Efren Ramirez Sr., who was a cook in the Navy. Despite her busy life, she poured her heart into every meal, creating dishes that were more than just food—they were a connection to our roots and a testament to her boundless love for us.
