Our paths to the bakery were quite different. What has it been like to be partners?

When members of the staff speak about us, they often list both of our names and run them together so closely that it sounds like one name—Frankenamy. What we take from that is that we represent a unified experience or perspective. We’re a consistent and single voice . . . much of the time. That seems good.

Our partnership works well and is a source of inspiration, energy, and comfort. We’ve started to consider having other partners, and through that process we’ve begun to reflect on what makes this partnership effective. Other partnerships will be different, of course, but there are some areas that we think are musts for a successful partnership with one of us.
