  • About
Yakitori are small Japanese skewers grilled over high heat.
Yakitori means ‘grilled bird’.
They are not however made up of sparrows, robins or other songbirds, but rather of meat, fish, seafood and vegetables.
These little skewers are the ideal complement to a cocktail that goes into overtime.
They are dipped in different sauces, the most well-known being teriyaki sauce, which is used for meat and fish as well as chicken. They are enjoyed in bite-sized serves on small wooden skewers, kushis.
You should allow at least six yakitori per person for a full meal, mixing meats and fish to satisfy everyone’s appetite.
