Kid is a favorite dish to order when we go to Lisbon. There is a restaurant across the Tagus, near the huge shipyards of Lisnave, called O Cabrito, which specializes in succulent casseroles of kid and pieces of roast kid. It is a popular venue if one takes a trip out of the city on a Sunday. Kid is also very popular in Spain, Italy, Malta and other parts of southern Europe, particularly the mountain regions. In America kid may be found in ethnic markets and in restaurants and supermarkets in the Southwest.
