Standard measuring cups and measuring spoons are necessary for volume measurement. A couple of sets of measuring spoons are also practical when you need to measure both dry and liquid ingredients in the same recipe.
Liquid measure cups are glass or clear plastic, and newer plastic ones have the amounts inside the cup so you don’t have to crouch down next to your kitchen counter to see the amount of liquid in the cup. Lately I’ve noticed some large variations in liquid measure cups so I have weighed all the liquids in these bread recipes.
