A huge variety of berries growing in the wild can be used as a base for drinks making. Several of our recipes have been chosen because they feature berries local to us – particularly abundant examples are elderberries, blackberries and sloes, and we even know of a secret spot for wild raspberries. If you’ve got alternative foraging options, get creative by swapping the berries in our recipes for some of your own harvested fruit. Just be sure that you know exactly what you’re picking to avoid consuming anything poisonous, and make sure you leave a decent supply of fruit untouched for the wildlife.
