  • About
Fasten your seatbelts, because it’s time to embark on a global booze cruise. On this journey of discovery we’ll be introducing you to some curious concoctions, dabbling with strange local customs and showing you how to give a new twist to some familiar classics…
The world is awash with booze. Travel to most countries and you’ll be able to experience a myriad of local concoctions, many of which are intrinsically linked to the culture and history of that country, and are often taken as part of some social ritual. But while travel has allowed us to experience these strange brews first-hand, as with other forms of cuisine, alcohol taste preferences aren’t always universal – a drink that is loved in one part of the world might not be appreciated elsewhere. These preferences for certain tastes are often a result of the ingredients available in a particular location – it can be amazing how humans acquire tastes for certain flavours when choice is limited, particularly when the ultimate objective is to experience the giddy effects of booze.
