Cooking for two with cast iron doesn’t require a lot of special equipment or pans. Most every recipe in this book was made in my 6-, 8-, or 10-inch skillet. A new favorite pan is a 10-inch griddle for making pizzas, pancakes, grilled cheese sandwiches, etc. I also love a grill pan for cooking steaks or searing vegetables when I want hash marks.
For other tools, you already probably own most of what’s on the list that follows—and those are just personal suggestions—but we all know the right tools can make cooking easier and more enjoyable.
