The state of Tennessee is close to the Appalachian Mountains and Valley where the spring is warm followed by hot humid summers, and warm, pleasant autumn months. Even the winter is mild, only getting the odd snow shower. This area was also known as ‘marble country’ so the soil has good minerals for grazing pastures. Virginia is Blue Ridge Mountain country, and much of the state has a subtropical climate, with very humid summers and very mild winters. The weather in Georgia is glorious through spring and summer, with the autumn and winter months temperate and cool but never freezing, making ideal conditions for grazing and agriculture.
