Spicy desserts are nothing new, but still, chili crisp on desserts is something that turns off many people. In fact, it turned me off too at first. I tested the Spicy Peach and Mixed Berry Crumble using one of my go-to chili crisps, Lao Gan Ma. At first, everything seemed fine. Peaches, coated with chili flakes, even looked delicious after they came out of the oven. I took a bite of it, and there was something off that didn’t quite impress me. Maybe I needed to make adjustments to the ratio. I started thinking of how I could transform this “meh” dessert into “WOW.”
