The Tools

It is often thought that since the varieties of Chinese cookery seem enormous, there must be an equally enormous number of tools to prepare them. This is really not so. In fact, you can create a Chinese kitchen with a minimum of equipment.

You need that most basic of Chinese cook pots, the wok, and a few other Chinese tools. The remainder, as you will see, will most likely be in your kitchen drawers and cabinets already.
