Ardabil

Ardabil was where the Safavid dynasty that ruled Iran from 1495 to 1720 was founded. We visited Sheikh Safi’s tomb, and took a detour to the foothills of the magnificent Sabalan Mountain, where we bought some of the area’s famous honey.
