  • About
4 sticks of butter equal 1 pound.
1 stick of butter equals ½ cup melted.
8 tablespoons of butter equal 1 stick.
2 sticks of butter equal 1 cup melted.
There are 3 teaspoons to 1 tablespoon.
4 tablespoons of ingredients, liquid or solid, equal ¼ cup. Therefore, 8 tablespoons of an ingredient equal ½ cup.
1 cup equals ½ pint.
2 cups equal 1 pint
4 cups equal 1 quart
When measuring liquid ingredients, it is generally best to use a glass measuring cup, which can be raised to eye level to make sure the measurement is accurate.
