  • About
  • Glass baking dishes are ovenproof and microwavable.
  • Parchment paper makes an excellent cover. Wet it first so you can mold it easily around the dish.
  • Do not microwave foods in disposable plastic containers from the supermarket, plastic bags or plastic wrap. When subjected to heat, chemicals can leach and migrate into foods, especially fatty foods.
  • Cooking times are based on a 650- to 700-watt microwave oven. (One cup of water boils in 2½ minutes on High.) If you have a 1000-watt microwave oven, reduce cooking times by approximately 25%.
  • Always check food shortly before estimated cooking time is completed. Always allow for standing time.
  • To double the recipe, allow half to two-thirds more cooking time. To make half the recipe, allow one-third less cooking time.
