I can’t lie—this is my favorite chapter. I have the biggest sweet tooth and a second stomach for dessert, and Polish desserts are truly magnificent. We start with Sernik (Traditional Polish Cheesecake), since there’s no place in the world where cheesecakes taste as good as along the Wisła river. And this chapter includes Pączki z konfiturą różaną i cytrynowym lukrem (Pączki with Rose Petal Preserves and Lemon Glaze), yeasted donuts topped with candied orange zest. There are so many amazing desserts—I can never decide what I want to bake. And I can bake without ever taking a break.
