I am not the keeper of a well-organized kitchen. My ingredients are not stored in fancy jars, and they are certainly not arranged alphabetically, by color, or by size. Packages of dried herbs spill out of my cabinet nearly every time I open it. The fridge is small, so it’s always too packed with goods that I couldn’t resist picking up during my morning shopping. This chaos aside, I tend to have a few ingredients on hand at all times. Most of them are widely available in well-stocked supermarkets or Polish delis.
