  • About
The professional kitchen workstation is a universal setup that never changes. It can even carry over to the home kitchen, as working in this systematic fashion sets good organizational skills. The work area consists of an immaculate cutting board placed on a damp cloth or paper towel to prevent slipping. If the cook is right-handed, knives, spatulas, and other necessary equipment are placed to the right of the board. For those who are left-handed, materials are placed to the left. Bowls to hold ready-to-prepare fruits or vegetables, dry goods, or other products are placed at the top of the board.
