Jean

Jean is a woman in demand. She’s celebrated at the Caribbean society for her delicious Jamaican dishes and spends much of the week preparing food for different events, grandchildren and for church on Saturday. So we were lucky to get a whole afternoon of uninterrupted Jean time.

As the date approached, we rang a couple of times to check we were still ON. Which seemed to irk Jean. Why would we assume she might forget?! This is very Jean - forthright and bold, with a great wit and no time for fuss.
