In Italy we never drink on an empty stomach so when having a party or more formal drinks reception, we offer small bites, snacks and small dishes. It’s always nicer to have freshly made food with a drink, rather than just offering nuts or crisps.
The recipes in this section are predominately smaller versions of dishes – everything is bite-sized as no cutlery is involved during events of this kind at the embassy.
