  • About
A starter is, well...a great place to start! If you’re eating at home with the family, a starter can add a real sense of occasion to a midweek meal. More often than not, we go for a pudding instead, but if I cook a starter it’s normally a seasonal vegetable soup, which might be followed by something simple, such as a shepherd’s pie where there are no greens present. The soup is therefore a great way to get those much-needed vitamins into the family. Alternatively, you could knock together a simple salad, using one of the dressings from the back of the book.
