Franco-Turkish Can grew up dividing his time between Paris and Istanbul. After studying in the United States, he chose to settle in the City of Cities. Why? Because it is vast, attractive and endearing in its contrasts, and because its boundless dynamism makes room for things to happen. In 2013 he and his partner, Antoine, launched the blog, Tooistanbul – an insider’s guide to the city. They organise culinary walking tours on both sides of the Bosphorus and their aim is to tell the story of their city as they live it and love it, using their tastebuds as their guide.
