  • About
From the grandeur of Venice to the impressive mountains of the Dolomites, there are many sights to explore and the Veneto welcomes over 60 million tourists every year. The region is bound to the west by Lake Garda and to the north by the Dolomites. To the south-east, the region peters out in low-lying plains, river deltas and lagoons, which fringe the warm waters of the Adriatic.
The rich soil and damp climate are ideal for food production. Fields of maize and vegetables abound, as well as pasture for cattle, orchards and vineyards that grow the grapes for the delightful Prosecco wine. On the flat plains the weather can be humid in summer and cold in winter, with damp, foggy days that have become associated with the famous canals of Venice.
