  • About
Sardinia is the second largest island in the entire Mediterranean Sea and is also an autonomous region of Italy. At least five local indigenous languages are spoken here, all of which are respected under Italian law. This incredibly beautiful island, with white sandy beaches and turquoise waters has, over the course of history, seen its fair share of invaders come and go due to its strategic position, and tragically has suffered many famines and has had its fair share of unwelcome invasions.
The island is home to nearly 4 million sheep, which makes this one of the areas of the world boasting the highest density, along with some parts of the UK and New Zealand. It is and always has been an island of shepherds, not sailors.
