“In 2013, Mother Nature changed the way we were to operate. A phenomenal flood caused by a tidal surge led me to redevelop the business, creating what is here today. In the serene surroundings of the new restaurant, visitors can choose from a plethora of locally sourced, fresh, well-cooked fish and shellfish.”

Sole Bay Fish Company was created in 1999 by myself, a born fisherman from Mersea Island in Colchester. It all began with a single shed on Southwold Harbour to sell the fresh fish caught daily from my own boat, Our Carol II. Over time, the shed has developed into the beautiful fishmongers you see today which continues to sell an abundance of fresh fish, ready to eat shellfish and smoked products.
