Acknowledgments

This is my eleventh book. Hard to believe, but true. Writing is a solitary activity, which can drive me a bit…crazy as it causes me to live in my head. I prefer making more collaborative art, surrounded by a community of people all working toward the same goal, like producing television, where my crew and I work together to tell the story at hand.

But as I thought about it, I am surrounded by so many people who support the work I do and love me regardless of my faults and flaws, and they are many (my faults and flaws). So in a way, I am never truly alone in my work. I am in love with each of them.
