Mixers

Vertical mixers are important and versatile tools for many kinds of food mixing and processing jobs, both in the bakeshop and in the kitchen. (The kind of mixer shown here is called the planetary mixer, because the beater attachment revolves on its own axis as it also rotates around the bowl, like the motion of planets around the sun. The baking industry also uses a number of specialized mixers not discussed here.)
