  • About

The breakfast sandwich is a popular item for people on the go. Fillings generally contain scrambled eggs, often with one or more of the additions listed in the previous section, plus breakfast sausage, and served hot. Wrap sandwiches are especially popular because they are easiest to eat while engaged in another activity. Refer to the principles of sandwich making discussed in.

An example of a typical breakfast wrap is a flour tortilla wrapped around a filling of a few pieces of breakfast sausage and a portion of scrambled eggs mixed with grated cheese and sautéed, diced onion and green pepper. For a traditional bread sandwich, enclose this same filling between two pieces of bread.
