When my children were small, they, like every child I’ve ever met, preferred sweet to healthy. So I devised this open sandwich, which they had to eat from left to right: starting with the savoury and ending with the sweet. No cheating. They loved it.
Arrange stripes of ham, cucumber, sausage, tomato, Cheddar, cream cheese, pecans and strawberry jam on matzo crackers.
