I had a Lebanese sister-in-law and she made these dishes all the time: batata harra, tabbouleh, mujadera served with the soft cheese labne. She would serve them as mezze with drinks, as salads or as accompaniments to meat dishes, but I liked them best (and still do) eaten together as a healthy vegetarian meal. What started as a combination of leftovers has become my preferred meal. If you omit the labne, you have a great vegan meal. All of these benefit from serving with freshly baked pitta bread.
