You must be going skiing! Ah yes, the Savoie region has the great privilege in winter of welcoming to its snowy slopes lovers of board sports and other aficionados of pure sensations. The mulled wine served at the bottom of the runs is for many of us the only viticultural link between the region and our palate. Don’t let this lead you to believe that cinnamon and cloves are the main characteristics of a red wine from the Savoie region – you would be mistaken!

Similarly, after you’ve taken off the shoes that have become overly heavy after hours on the pistes and opted for the most convivial of fondues, don’t go thinking that a Savoie white is only good for melting that mountain of cheese ready to satisfy your appetite – you would be mistaken!
