Souleymane Coulibaly, or Soro Solo as he is better known, is a radio host born in Korhogo in the Ivory Coast. His informative approach and the 15 or so hours spent weekly on the radio over many years have made him one of the most popular radio hosts in the Ivory Coast. Until the rebellion that broke out in 2002, Soro Solo was one of the most well-known cultural journalists in his country. He is also a two-time recipient of the National Union of Journalists of Ivory Coast award for best journalist in the country (Ebony award, 1993 and 1994).
